The Best Way to Diagnose a Vibration on a 2017 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Truck

Bernie demonstrates the iVA and how it makes finding a vibration easy. By attaching four magnetic vibration sensors to each axle, then using the iVA software, the vibration is instantly identified at the rear driveshaft. The sensors and software allow even more pinpoint testing by relocating a sensor and changing the location of the sensor within the software. Moving the sensor to the rear differential and performing a second test drive shows a vibration in the rear differential housing. Once the vehicle is safely supported, Bernie finds a faulty U-joint. iVA uses Quad Vibration Technology™ (QVT) to locate and identify the vibration then rate the vibration severity with advanced color coding. The iVA can locate multiple vehicle vibrations simultaneously.

The iVA simplifies setup!

Eliminates the need for separate hardware such as an oscilloscope and J2534 device. All you need to start testing is your Windows PC. To start; enter the Tire Size, Ring and Pinion Ratio and Vehicle Drive Type (Front Wheel Drive, Rear Wheel Drive, All wheel drive, and Four Wheel Drive). If the Ring and Pinion is unknown the iVA will automatically calculate the Ring and Pinion Gear Ratio. Simply attach the magnetic sensors to the suspension components. Setup takes less than 5 minutes in most cases!
